MATERIALS
we use solid hardwoods, and while each board is chosen thoughtfully, we often include details such as knots, cracks & wormholes that help honour the natural beauty of the wood.
each piece of wood is unique, and some of our different finishes react differently to each piece. while we try our best, we cannot guarantee that the wood grain or finish will look exact to pieces we’ve done in the past.
RETURNS / EXCHANGES
because our pieces are built to order, we do not accept returns or exchanges.
if you believe your piece was damaged during shipment, please contact us immediately.
CARE
all of our pieces receive a hand rubbed oil finish. as with all wood finishes, it’s best to avoid allowing water to sit on the surface for a prolonged period of time. avoid placing extremely hot items such as a kettle or pot directly onto the wood surface. cleaning your piece can be done by wiping the surface with a damp cloth (soap if needed) followed immediately by a dry cloth. avoid commercial or chemical cleaners.

we use a range of osmo and rubio oil finishes. it is not reccommended that different finishes are mixed so please contact if you would like to know what was used on your furniture. over time timber can begin to dry out and may require fresh oil coats (usually once per year). we can arrange to post a care package to you for this purpose. oiling is very user friendly process in that they can be wiped on with a soft cloth or rag, left to sit for 5-10 minutes, and then wiped dry. It's virtually impossible to cause any damage doing this.
